It's beautiful, and I wish I had a clue how to do stuff like this. Out of interest, how difficult are the books you produce? I see them in a lot of your pictures, and I love them. Of course, there's always the chance that they're just nice old books that you own, but I have a feeling you did them yourself. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong :-)
Actually, they're all ones I've bought from flea markets and secondhand stores. The two in this shoot were from a big indoor flea market, and the leather one is FULL of tintypes and old photographs. I got it for about $35. A STEAL. Person didn't really understand what they had.
I do occasionally take uninteresting or unimportant books (mostly old textbook reprints or offensive tracts) and re-title them, which is where the "Fine art of Poisoning" book came from that you will see from time to time.
Ah, that makes me feel much less inadequate now :-) Flea markets are brilliant for things like that, I don't go to anywhere near enough of them. Though if I buy any more books - even beautiful battered old ones - I think my girlfriend will string me up!
