I remember when reading Robin Hobb's Liveship Trader series, she wrote an acknowledgment note to all the ships that had inspired her to write about them, and one of them was the Lesbian Whoremonger. Which I think you will agree is amazing.
"Serious" names: The Excaliber. The Vendetta. The Banshee. The Wraith. The Rogue. The Griffon. The Coup D'Etat--> (I don't know where that one came from ... keep in mind that it's almost midnight and I took a sleeping pill. Everything sounds either seriously cool or seriously hysterical).
Irreverent names: The Righteous Fuck. The SS Shit for Brains. The Serotonin Express (LONG story behind that one). The Singular Sensation. The Crack of Doom.
I'm going to look at these tomorrow and wonder WTF I was on. Take those with as few or as many grains of salt as you wish. I bet I can come up with some that don't suck if I really think about it tomorrow. /rambling

The most famous one would be "Seetiger" (Sea Tiger, Störtebeker's ship) but most German ships tend to have women's names than descriptive ones. I'll have a think, currently my mind is filled with stupid things from work...
I thought "Penetrator" was kind of an obvious choice. ;o)
