He's edited his entry and turned off comments. The edit is probably one of the funnier yet simultaneously sad things I've seen on the internet thus far. You should definitely go read it. I lol-ed. "...but between men of reason and good will, we men of the mind, and our mutual foes, the men of unreason, the men of mere emotion."

I love how for him, Catholicism is the religion of reason and the mind, and yet -- was his conversion to Catholicism effected by the implacable working of logic? No, he had to be visited four times -- by each member of the Godhead and by the Virgin Mary -- in order to be convinced. Thomas was satisfied with less!

To be honest, The Onion is usually much better written than that, and less pompous and full of itself, even when it is TRYING to be crappy and pompous.

True, that.

Maybe it's all a ploy of his to drum up sales of his work?

I find it interesting that he would not let critics comment but simply gave his interpretation of his critics.

I can hardly wait until he meets the real Jesus Christ and finds out that he was, in fact, dead wrong about everything Jesus taught and he has earned himself quite a few incarnations to learn to respect the rights and dignity of others.
