Tonight was my writers' group Christmas party.

Our usual ritual involves a story fragment contest, where everyone brings a two page story fragment, they are all shuffled about, read, and then everyone tries to guess who wrote what. This is enormous fun, as the fragments are almost always hilarious. Tonight was no exception.

Yes it was a great party. Thanks for reading all of our fragments. It was quite fun wasn't it. I was nervous because of screen writing being more my thing and not trusting that I could write prose. In general I surprised my self with my own story. It didn't suck but there was so much more I wanted to flesh out but then it wouldn't have been a fragment. It would have been a much longer story.
I happily went home with more movie posters from the dirty Santa gift exchange. One of these days I will get up some of my collection of movie posters.
