Hee! Ave Maria actually works quite well on me, and on me it's like...hmm...what it makes me think of is when you've been laying in the sun and your skin's getting warmed all the way through by it. That slow, lazy, sensual warmth. I'd like to try this on my guy, when we're in the same place, 'cause I find it a very attractive scent. Mind you, I know it's more feminine on me than it would be on most women 'cause I have a weird ability to make practically anything sweet.

Oh, lord, I get that - I can't wear *any* of the foody blends because they just turn instantly sickly on my skin. Irritates the heck out of me since my self-image is about as sweet and feminine as naamah_darling's :)

Hahaha! The irony is that I love sweet, foody blends. Smelling like cake? Presents no psychological problem to me. I prefer it with a whiff of almond, though, for that arsenical touch.

What, godless, lycanthropic bitch queens shouldn't smell yummy? Says who?

Ugh, lucky, I can't wear almond very well unless it's actual sweet almond oil and not an absolute or an essence. Which is to say, I can use it as a massage oil or a moisturizer, but not a perfume. And even /then/ it goes kinda powdery on me.

I don't mind smelling sweet, but I mind smelling sickly. So far, I've noticed that anything that smells predominantly sweet in the bottle is a disaster on. Things that smell floral-but-not-overly-sweet, or better yet tart, can be marvelous, but...to give you an idea how weird my skin is...

Any of you remember that women's perfume, Cool Water? On most people it ends up astringent or bitter. On me, it's a light, sweet floral. Very disturbing. People love it, ask what I'm wearing, and then look at me like I'm insane and spritzed myself from the wrong perfume bottle.

i've been whining for years that i will move away from the city as soon as i can, with its smells. i'm so overwhelmed that sometimes i come home, run to the yard, and press my face into the grass. and proceed to feel like the crazy from k-pax.

i try not to read these posts because invariably i want to get lost in a hobby that i'm too poor to sustain, but man, i (invariably) think to myself, someday.

#11: fantastic typo.

*DIES LAUGHING*

I'm leaving that typo! AHAHAHA!

I'm not fond of the city smells, either. Another reason for us to move out of the city. BLEH. I can't perfume the stinky house next door or the street or the apartment complex that sits upwind. :P

Grand Guignol is indeed yummy! It always makes me want to find somebody to lick apricot brandy off my cleavage, but then I remember I'm at work. Carnal is similarly delish, orange and fig. But it doesn't strike me as being carnal at all. Perhaps they should have named it Sticky.

Hmm! I may need to give Carnal a try, then! I tend to love the Lab's figgy note. It's yummy, sticky goodness!
