Ah Obsidian Butterfly - the book that spawned hordes of raving Anita/Edward shippers... I didn't hate the book, but I do hate the shippers.

I seriously don't get the shipper thing, (I mean really,Edward? *shudders*) but I'm entirely up to date with the series and so far I still think it's the best Anita Blake book.

Perhaps however that is because it doesn't feel like Anita's leveling up every time she bangs someone the way the other books have gotten. Sometimes I wonder if Laurell is role playing a particularly naughty flavor of Vampire on her Friday nights and just writing it all down to keep the books coming.

I agree. And I do like Edward, he's actually my favorite human in the series. I just happen to read too much fanfiction - most of it bad.

I do not believe I have heard your group on my favorite radio show, "All A Capella," broadcast from 2-5 on weekend afternoons. And I'd love to, and I know they're always looking for new groups, or so they say.

I have just been dragging lately, too. Sleeping too much, and like you- not energy once I finished a rather big project. I really HAVE to get my ass back in gear somehow. And soon.

I think "Obsidian Butterfly" was the last of the fairly readable LKHs, or so I recall. And then it went to boring porn. As compared to hot porn, which might have been fun- although I am rather a fan of plot in novels.

I was getting all excited about recommending that a capella group for my favorite radio show ("All A Capella")- but they have a DRUMMER! and the show tends to the purist. It's too bad, because if they'd found a vocal percussionist it would have sounded just as good- those guys are amazing. Anyway, the song itself rocked- I'd love to hear some real metal on the show, with no actual physical metal involved! They have damn near every other possible style...

You are missed and loved, and I hope that you will get the chance to come out to OKRF (The Castle at Muskogee) at least once this season so we can hang! As for that video, I'll be the first to admit I'm not usually a fan of metal, but that is fucking AWESOME!!! Do you know if all their songs are like that? If they are, I'd totally buy that albumn.
