I've been making you look at a lot of pretty stuff lately, I know, but you guys have to see this.

For the past several weeks, I've been watching harmanhay make this dress. Painstakingly. She worked from a 17th century pattern, with a passing nod to Kiera Knightley's dress from the first Pirates movie, but I think this one is prettier ( Read more... )

If I win it, I will consider it my holy DUTY to get pictures of me taken in it until my LEGS FALL OFF.

Everyone should have to see it. That is how much I love that dress.

....oh, as if I didn't have enough things to drool over. ^_^

I soothe myself with the fact that those colors would not work on me.

Or at least that's what I'm telling myself.

Yeah, you're lucky. Those ARE my colors, I COULD wear it and look really great in it. Which is what is giving me PAIN.

Believe me, if this one slips through my graspy little handpaws, I will hopefully be saving up enough to -- eventually -- buy one of my own; the bodice at the very least, and hopefully the whole nine yards.

*lusts*

The sleeves, the slashes and ribbons, and the fact that they are removable, too, are my favorite part.

Next to the lacing down the front. That's just sexier than anything.

I'm pretty sure she used more than "nine yards" on that dress...LOL!

That dress makes me set goals for myself for after fetus deployment. :D

BWAHAHA! "Deployment."

"GENERAL ZEX! DEPLOY ATTACK FETUSES!"

The nice thing about lace-up dresses is that they can be squinched in really tight to help support a multitude of squishy bits.

YUM.

Oh my God.

I just found my next wedding dress.

Of course, that'll mean doing away with the current husband, but for that gown? Totally worth it.
