I have an issue under dispute right now because an item hasn't arrived at all- and it was dropped off at the post office, and had a tracking number- but was never delivered. I have asked the seller to reship, and to figure out what went wrong at his end, but it has been a month already. If you think you may have to resort to paypal to be "the heavy" (they'll hold the payment in the seller's account until dispute is resolved) you've only got 45 days from the time you made the payment with them to open a dispute- after that... tough. The bottom line is- if you don't get satisfaction with the post office, then don't procrastinate going to paypal. Good luck!
I thought that too, but I checked, and according to the USPS site, it says the addressee can file a claim. Since I've gotta go to the post tomorrow anyway to mail some stuff, I'll ask them while I'm there. But if they tell me that it's her job to file the claim, well, then the ball is in her court, by golly.
I'm so sorry that your item was broken! I hope that you're able to either get your money back or get the item replaced.
On a more pleasant note, I got the perfume yesterday! All very securely packaged and no damage at all. And thanks for the little extra!! I'm so excited about trying all these new scents. (One question for you - I've never tried perfume oils before. When you wear them, do you wear them straight or do you need to dilute with some sort of carrier? Sorry to hijack your thread!)
I wear 'em anywhere -- usually a dab on my wrist, rubbed together, then rubbed over my hair or alongside my neck.
Really, they ought to be diluted with a carrier oil. Fractionated coconut oil is cheap at places like Wild Oats, and it has no odor at all. When I dilute (and I'm bad, bad, bad, because I don't always do it) I put perfume on one wrist, oil on the other, and rub them together.
Probably should be more careful about it, but then, I don't seem to have sensitive skin!
Usually the post office is really good about cutting you a check for the "estimated value" of the broken goods, even if it is due to poor packaging. In a smaller post office, you will probably deal directly with the post master, who will inquire about where it came from, what it is and how much it's worth and all that. I"ve had to deal with this before with a cracked bow or two (even though it was a hairline crack in the limb, which is a fatal flaw, rendering a bow inoperable), and you an usually get a check for yourself within a week.

When you put it that way . . . it's pretty compelling. Thanks!
