Yeah, spades are swords, and swords are almost always tinged a little with strife or struggle. The jack would be equivalent to either the knight or the page. I'm bad with cards, though, so . . . it's all up in the air. The two is definitely a card of struggle, though.
Perhaps the universe is saying, 'you should be paranoid?'
It would make sense. Most of the lessons I've been taught in this way tend to have that whole 'beat it into your head til you can't stand it' feel to them. Which, given most of the species, I can't really blame the universe for using.
Queen of Coins: a nurturing, homemaker-type person, full of hearth-wisdom and common sense. Maybe a little controlling/smothering. Re: spades: Do not expect 2007 to be a relief from 2006.
I'm reading the spades thing more or less as "conflict," but conflict that has the potential to go my way. Decisions. Change. Major change. It's generally a harsh suit, but these particular cards have the same overtones: a decision has to be made, and overlooking the truth will lead only to harm and stagnation. They are positive cards, though, the two and the jack.
I know what it's referring to. I think I have that figured out. But damn, it's a little scary having the universe point it out to me.
i see you've already got a link :) I wore out my first vinyl copy of The Velvet Underground and Nico.
Playing "Venus in Furs" just now, my mind just segued it into "Through a Pale Door" by Faith and the Muse.
Same decadent feel. Monica Richards usually does the vocals for F&M but not this cut which sounds like it should be a gothy waltz for Masque of the Red Death. Sorta like F&M straying into Dead can Dance style.
Sending you an email copy mp3, 192kbps. I'm on dsl but it's been sending for five minutes now... It's only 5 meg or so. Think it finally went through, no account at yousendit and i haven't used my new webspace yet.

Maybe I can't take hints, I dunno. I'm trying to take this one, though!
