My family's business makes magnetic dog beds...I could offer you an employee discount on one.

I just had a fit of the giggles imagining him in a magnetic dog bed with that robot leg we keep planning to get him.

Heheh. Hee!

Actually, the pain pills seem to be helping a lot this morning, so we'll see. Poor old guy.

*heh!* He could be the Magneto-Robo-Doggie!
I'm glad to hear there is some relief for him. :)
Keep it in mind, I've heard more than a few people have good results with their arthritic pets with the beds.

Jazzdog gets an aspirin or two wrapped in cheese every morning. It doesn't make that much difference-- he's a couch dog through most of the day while everyone's at school-- but it is there. It's nice when there's something you can do to make it better, and nice for the dog when it involves food.

Ach, poor doggie. I hope he's okay.

I have to ask...why are you having your grandparents' estate melted down and poured into large jars?

...what? Oh, that's NOT what liquidate means?

Possibly already suggested (haven't peeked at the comments so far), BUT -- our old dog Ruffles (shut up, we got her when I was 5 and I got the privelege of naming the newest fluffy family member) did really well for a much longer time when we gave her MSM supplements [same as what you'd buy for people-types, and cheap]. So has my Tea teacher's golden retriever Moose, who's about 12 now. So.

Yeah, we're looking into supplementing him with something. He's so damn feeble. And this came on, like, almost overnight. He's always been so sturdy. :/

Sadly, unless it's something like pain that can be more-or-less cured by aspirin, it won't go away overnight, but the supplements will do a LOT towards helping if it's something like arthritis.

The senilization of a pet... never fun, of course, but I have noticed that most (or maybe just "some") cats get more friendly when they're old, sickly, and senile. My cat was like that; as a young cat it was impossible to find her unless you were one of favorite people. I noticed the the older of my aunt's cats tend to be the more friendly (then again she's got a LOT of old cats, and many of them AREN'T friendly so I am disproved!)

Weird.
