Donations and bids needed for auction!
Hey, guys? A friend of mine, snowcoma, is in a really rough patch with her mental health issues.
Both her doctor and her psychologist have told her that she needs to see a psychiatrist for a while to get her stabilized enough for treatment by them, or she will have to go into an institution. We are not at all certain that the latter option would be helpful, especially since she's had a really bad experience with voluntary institutionalization. It wouldn't help her get better. Nobody should have to be put away if they don't want to be, especially for lack of funds.
Visits to a psychiatrist are expensive, though, and snowcoma and co. don't know where the money is going to come from.
This is a boat that I could easily have been in. One that I may be in someday, I don't know. It breaks my heart and scares the crap out of me, and I would really appreciate y'all's help because she's my friend and nobody should ever be in this situation.
To that end, there is a community: savesnowssanity, where items will be auctioned off with the proceeds to help pay for the psychiatrist. We need to pull this together kind of fast.
We are working to get a goal amount, but in the meantime, we need donations of auction items. Anything. Something you have made, something cool you have that you can part with, anything. Knitted items, clothing, perfume, art, books, fiction, auctions of services, anything.
If you don't have donations, friend the community and help spread the word as new auctions go up. Bid, even if it's just five dollars. Please help.

Right now the only auction item we have is one for custom artwork by Caytlin Vilbrandt aka cloversix which I am DYING to bid on myself.
