Icons, London and Handsomes

Here are more recent icon challenge entries. I got a bit carried away and have only just  realised that I don't have to enter every challenge - basically, I've calmed down a bit. :)

I'm going to London next week for a marathon culture session. Lost of exhibitions and lots of theatre - Toby Stephens in The Country Wife, Benedick Cumberbatch in ( Read more... )

Saw Elling and The Country Wife yesterday. Underwhelmed by TCW. Too many irritating characters, although Toby was good. It may improve a lot before you see it.
Elling was brilliant. 39 Steps was outstanding! So very funny and clever.
I want to see The War Horse. Jamie Ballard is in it and I saw him in Much Ado last year. He was good.

Love the icons...especially the JJ one. I have no time for icons etc since I have too many websites to make!

I regret missing Elling - but we just couldn't get booked for the right night. TCW - hmmm, ah well, it's worth seeing TS and as you say the production might improve over time.

We've seen 39 Steps before and can't resist seeing it again - it's such a great evening out, isn't it?

I don't know Jamie Ballard, but I'll pay special attention. :)

Dont get excited by Jamie ;) I had to watch out for him as he was Joseph Millson's understudy! I panicked each time I saw Much Ado that Joseph wouldnt be on...but I am sure Jamie would have been fine. He has done quite a bit of RSC work ( ... )

Where's the astonished smilie when you need it?

nooone, you are an icon making fiend! And the quality of each icon is not comprised one ioata by the sheer quantity, I'm very impressed!

And I voted for a number of them :)

What I like is how you, me and ima seem to get fixated on our each having a 'style' but you know what? These icons show a wide range of different styles and you've excelled at each one...so many favourites I don't know where to begin!

Congratulations on so many well deserved wins!

*with apologies for the excessive use of '!' but truly noone, I'm blown away by this batch!

Oh, a true home of the handsome (and the pretty, too). :) *sigh* Nice man catalogue in the beginning, and I adore the gorgeous James Dean icons.

Ooh, your Becoming Jane icons are so lovely. I voted for several of them. Gorgeous, delicate, and well composed. The third one in particular with the bubbly light effects underneath the text is very beautiful.

And I a gree with LG, you have tried so many different techniques with these and excelled in all of them. Some I may have guessed to be yours, but with some I had absolutely no idea. You've definitely managed to reinvent yourself several times. :)

Ack, you two are too kind. And I appreciate it very much.

I really don't think I've changed my style that much - really I don't. I do get 'inspired' by peeps work and try to copy ideas, BUT I can't come close to doing the colour/texture/theme/text work you both do.

Annnd, I don't think I'm alone in having different approaches to a given challenge - you two have caught me off guard too and I haven't managed to guess what work you've produced.

But, thanks again. Your thoughts, comments and compliments mean a great deal to me. :)

Ima, your new JD icon is gorgeous. He's such an easy study isn't he?
