Here are more of my icons. I wasn't that happy with some of them, but it's all part of learning the process isn't it. :)

Hero_stills -

I don't think this challenge is taking place, so here are my entries anyway.

Congratulations on your awards! You seem to have been busy. :)

Looking at each set put together like this I see you've had a different approach to each contest. The Mansfield Park ones are rather stripped down whereas the Austen heroes are more layered and experimental (love the HT ones and the Edmund).

The fashion plates are rather bold with the frames. The "hats" and the "cravat" are my favourites. And the coat icons: I see what you mean with the confusion. I think they are lovely, and really focus on the theme. The title+text combo works well with the educational approach, and I love the luscious look of the "silk" one. The red swirl adds to the luxorious tone.

In the Elvis icons you've used glitter and/or light effects in all of them, which makes them look like a set. The winning one has a very appropriate font and lovely colouring. :)

And BTW, although the Golden Age icon may look like a stamp, I don't think it's a bad thing. It's quite powerful, and I like the depth that the contrasting colours bring to it.

Aw, thanks Ima.

Thanks for all your lovely comments. It's hard to see the wood for the trees sometimes and then a great efect will happen by accident and you can end up screaming. :)

Mostly, I really do feel 'meh' about most of my icons - especially after I see everyone elses. :D

I keep trying with this tiny ccanvas because it's such a challenge, but really I feel more at home making signatures.

Thanks again lovely.

Late, late again!
Noone dearest, how busy you've been and my, what a bunch of handsome's you have for us!

I could wax lyrical about your NA win (thud! and congratulations, very well deserved!) but you know how partial I am to the delectable twinkling of a certain JJ!

So, just want to take a bit of time to say how dazzling your other work is...and I don't agree about the tinkering. The detail in your work is something I enjoy immensely! Congratulations too on your other win, Elvis definitely belongs in the Home of the Handsome :)
