Mia Ryman's BC Day 4

Wow, I'm posting at a time when I'm actually awake and coherent! Which gives me no excuses for spelling/grammar issues... Hm, maybe I should think this through more...
I've never used Scribd before, so if there are issues... Tell me and I'll try trial and error until something works.
Many, many thanks to Di and Jo for being ( Read more... )

How were you doing the embed? With Scribd, you can't use the embed media function on LJ. Instead you have to click the share/embed link on Scribd itself, and them paste the code it generates into the HTML editor on LJ.

I tried the embed/share code in the html on here and something did come up, but it was glitched up badly. There was an option to try and post straight to livejournal, but it kept saying 'post failed'...
Maybe I'll try again with your instructions - thanks for trying to help :)

Yeah, same problem again, but I've never seen this happen to anybody else... *sigh*

Hmm. What I do is change the size of the embed anyway, and change it from scroll to sides, I've never used the code as is. (So I untick the auto width, and change it to 750, but keep the height 600, the change the view to slideshow).

Yes it happened to me and I was told to go into the HTML and manually change the size. I change the height and width to 600, although I may try for larger next time. You just have to search for those width and height numbers is all.

Also over on Scribd you can specify if you want it shown as a slide or a scroll or if you want your text to be copy pastable or if you want others to be able to download it... not that I know why anyone would want to download it. I disabled that one myself.

Yeah, I should have realised that when I was dealing with the site, but I've managed to find the bit where you change the settings. I went for 600 height/700 width because it seemed to look best on my screen, but it probably changes from computer to computer... Hope it's okay now! :)
