16A Part 3It's only 30 slides long this time, but something significant happens. I don't know whether to break out the champagne, hugs, or a riot shield ( Read more... )

I can't even conjure adequate words to describe my feelings! I'm just going to sit over here and cry for a while. D:

I should probably leave a more coherent comment. lol

[Spoiler (click to open)]I am so impressed with how you managed to get that much emotion into just 30 slides. The staging was spot on. I am so impressed! And I really did have to wipe tears at the end! D: Not because Seth was a character who deserved any sympathy, because he WAS a bad dude after all! But because no one deserves to die like that! To have your brain broken then... THAT. D; If Rodney has one last "evil" thing to do in his life, it better involve taking Hideki down. *grr*

[Spoiler (click to open)] I'm not sure the credit should be given to these 30 slides; if you didn't know/care who Seth and Rodney are, it probably wouldn't have meant THAT much :P
And LOL, I doubt it was spot on exactly, because naturally you can't get all the poses you would actually use if they were real people you could tell to do what you want rather than trying to get close approximations by whatever posebox makers have given you. There's at least one shot where I had to use very creative camera angles because half of the pose didn't fit and the other person was clipping through...! <.< >.>

Weeeeeell, Seth did/does have his good points. Plenty of bad, yes, but also good. And yeah, that was pretty awful >.< And Rodney strongly protests at the use of 'evil' in referring to anything about him, besides how evil life is to him :P

Thank you for reading and commenting (twice!) <3 ^.^

[Spoiler (click to open)]I know Seth and Rodney are the bad guys, but I can't help feeling a little sorry for them. They needed their punishment, but Hideki...wow! He's a cold bastard. (Apologies if you're offended by the word, but I couldn't find an adequate replacement.)

I like how you've handled the fallout too. It makes sense that there would be anger and gossip toward their kids and grandkids. I'm glad the four guys got over it though and are standing by their friendship.

Very well done. Especially that last slide where the servo's are dragging Seth away.

[Spoiler (click to open)]LOL, have you seen the language some of my characters use? And I'm certainly not offended on Hideki's behalf...!

Well there had to be something; for all their failings, Seth and Rodney do/did have a large (mostly) happy family... And Fallout is going to be the name of this chapter! Once I make the title slide -.-'
Thank heavens for Huey, ever the voice of reason *le sigh*

Also thank heavens for the poseboxes that make all of this possible! Glad I came across the posebox for carrying/dragging stuff like that...

Thank you <3

I was going to say things about how I feel sorry for Liv and how Huey did the right thing but... The ending rendered me pretty much speechless on all that.

I cried. And was almost mad at you for that. Almost. And then I felt a chill. However bad Rodney and Seth have been, Hideki is so much worse... They may have been bad guys, but right now, I'm feeling terrible for them both. At the same time, I'm almost relieved for Seth: whatever is waiting for Rodney, it isn't going to be pleasant, at least Seth no longer has to go through that.

That ending with Seth lifeless in the hands of the robots was really heart-wrenching. I think I'm going to go and cry some more.

[Spoiler (click to open)] Yeah, Liv's been hit with a ton of bricks. If I hadn't had the rest of that stuff going on I might have brought showing her death (by old age) forward to this part. Heaven knows the stress and confusion can't be helping her. And Huey for all the common sense awards.

I'm soooorrrrrry ;~~~; In my original plan he was just never going to reappear alive after he disappeared, but then he could serve another purpose to certain people, so... But yeah, Seth and Rodney have been massively out-villained, but it wouldn't have been possible like this if they weren't villains to start with, so. And yes, death tends to be worse for the survivors than the deceased themselves (or that's my belief anyway)...

I'm sooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrry ;~~~~~~~; *hugs*

Thank you for commenting and not hating me forever instead <3 If it's any consolation, part 5 is just going to be Seth arriving in the Afterlife, in his full faux-hawked attention-loving-personalitied glory :3
OH, and I did put those default replacement servo eyes in my download folder, except they ( ... )

Oh yeah, having somebody in your game definitely seems to make you more attached, at least if you actually play them (having Cypress as a townie has not endeared me to him any more than I was XD)
And yeah, anyone who read all the future/AU stuff - besides knowing spoilers (though I'm surprised nobody's realised one particular thing related to that) - definitely has more of an insight into who they are and where they're going than the villainous activities that get them to crop up in the actual story.
And as for Hideki... Well arguably it wasn't anything THAT bad, but the bad stuff has already happened, hence him doing what he does (though no, it does not justify it), but that'll be explained later.

Yeah, he did pretty much admit it, but Rodney was too focused on DEAD SETH IN HIS ARMS to register it properly (at the time).

*Waits for next part with you* Gosh darn job apps.

Yeah, but it's still a shame; dalek-y servos would have been awesomely creepy XD

[Spoiler (click to open)]I was all like "you go, Huey, be the adult!" And then I was all like OH NOES but when you think about what else is coming Seth got off lucky and DAMN YOU HIDEKI AND YOUR HELLHOLE and this is why we live in civilized countries, so people who need to be sent to jail don't mysteriously end up dead and DAMN THOSE ARE CREEPY EYES HIDEKI, I know they're alien eyes but SOMEBODY SHOULD HAVE NOTICED THERE'S SOMETHING, FUCKTONS OF SOMETHING, WRONG WITH HIM.

This has been
CAPSLOCK.

I am awed by your capslock.

[Spoiler (click to open)]Huey for all the awards *nodnod*

Yeah, Seth kinda did, but I think what actually happened to him was all kinds of wrong. The original plan was just him being killed outright when he disappeared and that didn't feel nearly so objectionable, but he could serve a further purpose... :/

*insert deeply cynical comment about 'civilised countries' here* But yeah, we don't at least tend to hear about that happening in our countries, so we're very lucky for that at least <.< >.>

People have noticed that there is something wrong with him, but they: a) just chose to avoid him, b) antagonised him and made it worse *eyes Elliot*, or c) took advantage of it. You have to have done something wrong (and get caught within reasonable doubt) to really be stopped...!

<3 you and your capslock *hugs*

It is a fearsome beast.
[Spoiler (click to open)]Yeah... unsolved disappearances are a totally different category of feels. *whistles innocently.* Plus, knowing what was wrong probably helped make things clearer.

I've studied Latin American history for my Spanish minor. There are levels of fucked-up to which a country cannot get until after the press and political dissension is silenced. Not that there haven't been fucked-up incidents in American and British history, but they haven't been representative usually of the whole institution. Your Simfeild started out with little accountability, and Rodney didn't make it better, and now Guilty!Ross (yes, he's guilty, Princess Bride logic here,) is going to make it worse. To be fair, he might not know much bout Hideki's Hellhole, TM, but he's certainly not asking or doing anything about it.

Okay, well, I can sort of sympathize with the avoiding thing, because that usually comes before the torches and pitchforks stage.

Ugh, the real world is depressing. Like, I don't mind writing this horrible, horrible stuff because at least it's not real, but then you find out that similar or worse actually HAS happened to people and... Dude, what is wrong with people sometimes.

Goddammit, everyone else gets resurrected 60 bajillion times, WE DEMAND OUR GABRIEL BACK. Preferably for good reasons and storyline, but given that I'm not watching it now really anyway *shakes fist at internationality*, I'll let that be negotiable :P
