I feel for you on this one. When my daughter was 14 her friends joined a karate classes that cost $75.00 a month! With more added for uniforms and tournaments and belt cerimonies. And you had to sign a contract for at least a year. She was the one that had the passion for Karate in the first place and got her friends interested. I could have killed her friends mom for choosing such an expensive club. I let my daughter join because she would have been devastated if I had'nt, but it cost me way more than I could afford. I don't know why we feel we have to do things we can't afford for our kids. I remember not being allowed to join the brownies because it cost five cents a week. Why didn't our parents have any trouble saying no?

Hurray for your youngest babe! I am so glad she made it. The money will come from somewhere. It always does. I know it's scary going through it, though. Just concentrate on getting yourself taken care of and everything will work out.
