Be warned that the purpose of this trip is to check out the camping sites on Lovells, and, if there's time, Grape and Bumpkin, so I won't be spending a lot of time wandering around, and will only by on Georges long

I've definitely been thinking that a group-camping trip to the islands would be a blast! I'm not going away to any of the big events you listed, so might very well be available. (I'm not free for the current expedition, though---too much work).

The weekend of Aug 21 doesn't conflict with Burning Man, which is part of why we're having our Big Summer Party then. Burning Man climaxes Labor Day weekend and this year runs Aug 31-Sep 7.

It sounds like fun as long as it doesn't conflict with or is too close to other big camping events I'm involved with, one of which is Aug 13-17.
