Not to mention that Connecticut has some of the most oppressive gun laws in the US.

"Oh, we need a ban on assault weapons."

"Oh, we need to mandate training."

"Oh, we need to mandate background checks."

"Oh, we need to mandate 'safe storage' and trigger locks."

Alll the nonsense these folks come up with to "prevent these tragedies"...? Connecticut already had all of it.

Apparently, it doesn't work. That's not hypothetical, because Connecticut had all of it, and it didn't work.

Did you know that, if you fail to report the theft of a firearm in Connecticut within 72 hours, it's a fine for the first offense, and then immediately jumps to a felony for the second offense?

Oh, and that's 72 hours from the time you "should" have found out that it was stolen, not the time that you did find it was stolen.
