I liked Stephen Colbert's remark - "If America actually cared about shooting people, we'd be invading Chicago."
I understand and also don't understand why the U.S. is blind to the welfare of its own citizens, yet is quick to "intervene" whenever some "humanitarian" problem happens in the Middle East.
