This is very different than much of your work, but I think I like it for all of that. The characters are all fundamentally recognizable, and the roughly caricatured style makes you stop and look, pay attention. The other cool thing you've done is convey just how bloody awkward a staff party might be -- everyone has a lot of physical space between themselves, and with the exception of Hooch, all seem wound up a little tight. Pomona is seated, but there's something reserved, drawn in and close, in the position of her limbs.

Dumbledore's shoes make me giggle, too. Thought you needed to know that.

You have this sort of Gorey/New Yorker cartoon vibe going on in this one and it's awesome. I love Dumbles kitten-heels and fat little Crookshanks giving Mrs. Norris the eye. ;)

(I hope you're feeling better although from the tags on this post it sounds like you're still in the trenches. *hugs* You need to feel better for Christmas, that's an order!)
