I'm so glad you drew this. I don't recall ever seeing a picture of Wilhelmina Grubbly-Plank. I knew she was a Professor of Care of Magical Creatures, but until now I had no idea of how she looked... and now I do.
She and Minerva are lovely together. Well done, you! 💖
Thank you! This couple makes so much sense to me. I actually drew them many years ago for a deviant_art piece and it was really nice to give them another turn in the spotlight! :D
OMG, I utterly adore this. Minerva/Wilhelmina was the pairing I used in the first HP fic I ever wrote, and I have been totally sold on it ever since.
You capture so much of what I love about this pairing, especially that super-charged butch/femme dynamic (which is completely canon; JKR had to know what she was doing). I'm in love with your butch!Wilhelmina here, with her boots and her MUSCLES and her overalls and her wand pouch and her pockets. And Minerva with her hair down and her femme-y bodice. . .just scorching.
When my partner's son was 12, I commissioned him to draw a picture of Wilhelmina to illustrate a fic I wrote for a friend. Here's his version of her (I read him the canon description):
Yeah, he did an art minor in college (with a history major). He works now as a freelance graphic designer and makes little animated cartoons for fun. I think he's excellent, of course, but then I'm a bit biased!

THAT IS A FANTASTIC DRAWING! I love the simplicity of the penwork and her big, beautiful, expressive eyes! Talented kiddo! Does he still do art? ❤️👀
