Update: Job hunting - My second interview today!

Feb 17, 2010 16:10

I was very nervous and fidgety because I really wanted to make a good impression. I took seat at my maybe future workstation. And I've tried to write from dictation. One of the bosses, the male one, likes to dictate his letters or mails. I never did that, but I guess I wasn't that bad for my first time. His pronunciation is slow and actually pretty ( Read more... )

A long interview, as has been noted earlier, but it seems a favourable one. I hope you get it if this is the job that you want.

My job coach told me that they wouldn't invest so much time if they wouldn't be interested in my person. That's why I have high hopes. I guess it's the best job offer related to what I have done in my career so far. I don't rely on this job, though, and keep going through new job offers. And I'm going to get prepare for a pre-employment testing which takes place on Monday.

It sounds like a good idea to keep all your options open. And, each interview you do will give you more experience and increase your comfort level for future ones you may have.

That's my thought exactly. Every job interview is another challenge because every company has other styles how to lead them. I was quite surprised that this one was out of line. They didn't ask me the common questions like "What are your strengths? or "What are your weaknesses?". The silliest question so far was: "Why is there felt on a tennis ball?" I had to laugh and said, let's go play tennis and find out.

Yay! (OMG, I do still exist, lol!) \o/

I'm sorry I've been MIA and haven't yet lent my support, but I sure will now! I so hate job interviews. I'm lucky in that I haven't had to go through many. But it sounds like this one went very, very well for you! I'm sending positive vibes your way and await the good news!

Btw, I am sooooo sorry I missed your birthday. /o\ I hope you had an awesome one!

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed. Cuddles even has her paws crossed for you as we speak.
I am sure they were able to tell right off what a great person you are and what an asset you would be for their company. Hopefully they saw you talking to future coworker and asked her if she thought you two would be able to work well together. *of course she will give them a resounding YES!*
I'm sure you rocked their socks off. Just keep breathing until you hear from them.

TYK!♥ Awww, even Cuddles supports me. *pets her*

They work as a team and I got the impression they will talk about the applicants in a group. And perhaps my future coworker has the last word. I thought about our conversation and I think there were two other signs that I'm her choice. Maybe I'm wrong and just saw what I wanted to see. On a side note, I guess I showed everyone how valuable I am.

I don't think breathing is going to be a problem. I'm more worried about to get enough sleep.
