Evening, all! So, I've been working away on my little handbags, and being very near completion of the second I found that I was in need of a zipper for it, since this one doesn't have a flap closure like the first. Since I had a great many errands to run today there was no time to go down to Fabric Row, and since I know A.C. Moore is woefully ( Read more... )

LOL, don't worry, there was still plenty left! On the Jomar website (I still can't believe they actually have one O_o) it's listed as the Swanson location, but it's actually right down the street from me near the end of Jackson St. (my flat is on Jackson just off Broad St.) The easiest way to get there is to drive down Snyder Ave. to the shopping center, then make a right immediately after you pass the Rite Aid. After that you should have no trouble spotting the garish yellow signs :p

Well, I don't have a car with me while I'm here and I looked it up and it would take me about an hour by bus to get there. So before I go through all that trouble, can you tell me how wide the stripes are and if it came in any other colors as well?

Sorry it took me a minute to get back to you--my tape measure temporarily went into hiding >_< First off, let me say that I sympathize completely with the bus situation. I commute via public transit myself, so I am intimately acquainted with just how unpleasant those long bus rides can be!

As for the fabric, the stripes appear to be about 1/8" thick (they vary between 8-9 stripes per inch). I didn't notice any of the same pattern in other colors, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility entirely, since I wasn't actually looking for it, and the place is rather large; this Jomar is situated in an old factory/warehouse space, and the fabric department takes up the entire second floor. I'm planning to go back later in the week for more of that brocade, so I could do a more thorough investigation, if you like.
