Alright, a mug of Gypsy Rose Tea and an awesome book-find later, and I'm feeling much better (despite a slight headache). There is a story behind this book that I won't go into at the moment, but suffice to say this thing can sell for upwards of $150, and I managed to get a copy along with four other books for $24 ^_^ And it completes a series I'

Please explain to me how choose your own adventure books are selling for that amount of money!! Weren't they 2 bucks back in the day?

LOL! Well, this particular series was published by TSR, the company most famous for Dungeons & Dragons. The first four books in the series are relatively easy to find, but the last two has such small print runs that 25 years on there are still rumors circulating that they were never actually released. This one is the rarest of them all, and according to the people who have actually read it, the best written of the whole series. I suspect both of these factors are responsible for the ridiculous prices it goes for!

Ok that makes sense, now I feel better lol. You really have to be up on your game with these collectible books. I can only imagine how much some of the ones I've resold are really worth now....

Choose Your Own Adventures were so much fun. I still treasure the ones I have. Somewhere around here is a Narnia adventure too.
