Satin, lace, and tulle; muted jewel tones and smoky pastels; carelessly messy Gibson Girl pompadour -- it's like a hazy dream of my memory of fashion from my early childhood. Although there are a few items that make me screw up my face in disgust (none that you've posted though), this collection was a true delight. So frothy, so feminine, so romantic. That's what couture is to me.

(Although I preferred Dior to be honest. There's something about Galliano, even when he's dull as dishwater he's still exciting)

Two words: Chest bows >_______< No one looks good in that style! It should be banned.

I adore Galliano, of course. That's why I always save the Dior collection for last. No matter how dreadful the rest of the Couture collections are, I can always depend on him for something worth looking at :D

I love chest bows actually, they look so ridiculously 60s and adorable. Assuming we're talking about the same thing.

I meant something like this; bows so huge that they cover the entire torso. Looks ridiculous! Funny, for some reason I thought there were more in this show, but that seems to be the only one :p
