[Following his conversation with Merlin, Arthur had to think. It was unacceptable that one of their own had been targeted. Oh, Erica wasn't a knight and she wasn't one of the remarkable women of Camelot, but she was Merlin's sister, in this life, and that was all there was to it ( Read more... )

I'm willing to do whatever it takes. Echo Erica's been my friend for over half a year now, and she didn't deserve a second of what happened to her.

I know she was scared. She was blindfolded, so she never got a glimpse of his face except maybe when he took her.

If you believe you can find out any more information, please do ask her. Mordred believes the fact that the rescue was at the hands of an archangel might provide a clue but I'm not sure.

Of course, I will.

But with all due respect, my liege, I don't trust Mordred. I know he's your son, but I can't after what our families went through.

I am unsure who I trust, Sir Percival, but I am willing to observe my son and see where his loyalty now lies. I am hopeful, foolish though it may be.

Hello Arthur, I don't believe we've spoken before either but my brother speaks highly of you. Thank you, but you have nothing to be sorry for. Did my brother ask you to speak with me?

Your brother didn't ask me but I know that he's worried by what happened to you -as are we all.

I apologize for asking, then. I know that he's worried, however I'll be fine. There's nothing to worry about.

I am glad that you'll recover. I suppose my concern is whether the perpetrator is still at large.

Not to ask the difficult questions, but do we know if Merlin's sister had any enemies or anyone who might want to see her hurt? Or anyone who might consider using her to get to him? Also, has anyone thought to question the fact that from what Merlin said his sister was rescued by the archangel Samael? Perhaps there's some clue there as to who attacked her in the first place.

The difficult questions are the only ones that matter, little one. The question now is who do we ask? I will try to speak with Merlin's sister but the archangel may be trickier to pin down.

I told Merlin I'd attempt to speak to the archangel, but I doubt I'll get anywhere as I already ruffled his feathers once before. I have a contact among the Horsemen, I could see if he knows anything. As for the girl, best of luck.

You ruffled feathers? What a surprise, little one. But, please, by all means. Find out what you can and let me know.

I already told Merlin I'm willing to act.
