That's a choice he makes if he chooses to suffer. In his own words, this was the path that he allowed for himself. There are things that we can and can't do, Raphael. Samael knows, equally well, that he's not a righteous man -- and he never will be.

I haven't denied him his right to be accepted. And I have no qualms with him if it's only a matter of what he needs to do because of what he's made to be. But if he truly understood my concerns, then he'd know that certain lines can't be crossed.

I'll give him help. But no one can help a man who doesn't want help.

Perhaps I was wrong to speak so quickly as I did; perhaps I was too harsh. And I overlook things now, more often than I used to.

It may take time, but setting aside my uncertainties about Samael -- I will help him however he needs.
