"Hello darkness, my old friend,
I've come to talk with you again,
Because a vision softly creeping,
Left its seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision, that was planted in my brain,
Still remains,
Within the sound of silence."

Today is the National Day of Silence, and NYU made quite a few generous allowances for those of us who have chosen to ( Read more... )

I am sorry to hear about that, Anteros. No one deserves such treatment.

Oh, sweetheart! They didn't hurt you, did they? If so, I'll flay them myself.

No, they didn't touch me, however one of them attempted to.

Thank goodness you're all right. Try club soda on the stains. If there's anything that can't be saved, I'll help you replace it. I can probably get them direct from the designer.

I plan on taking the clothing to a dry cleaner tomorrow, just the one near campus is horrible. Thank you, I'm sure it will be fine.

Silence is overrated.

And Really? Big Gulps? How is that a show of strength or whatever they were trying to show? I would have taken the cups and shoved it down their throats.

Try anger, it's a more satisfying feeling than "sadness."

You... clearly don't get it.

Yes, Big Gulps. I think they were trying to emulate Glee but couldn't find slushies. They probably would have preferred that to the withering looks they got.

Today is not about anger, you douche it's about injustice and intolerance.

What's Glee?

And hey, kid, I care about injustice. I just think people need to back up their words if they're going to say them. Each person should be judge on their own merit.

A television show about an ostracized glee club in high school.

That's good to know. Many people think that, but sadly not many people practice what they preach.

You're telling me. That Marc Jacobs jacket cost me more than their parents take home income.

No! They ruined a Marc Jacobs jacket? That should be criminal!

Apparently grape crush felt Marc Jabobs wasn't 'in' this season. I agree.

You're right, though it won't stop people from striving for it. There's honestly so many benefits to just allowing those of all sexual orientations the same rights as others, and I don't get why people can't see that.

You'd think, considering the goals of those who originally came to this country, equality would me more encouraged as opposed to being treated like a luxury. It's beyond ridiculous.

All fear signifies is an unwillingness to change, and supremacy is only a worthwhile feeling when it's earned through respect and not expected.
