7 things on the s03 Merlin premiere and a short raving over the s03 True Blood finale
1. Yes indeed too many evil smirks. Where's the damn conflict? Ok ok I didn't expect to see hesitation. It's probably too soon, her sister is a very striking leader I would worship her and go along gleefully with everything she'd suggest. I think for the moment I can flow with it because Morgana is for the moment fixed on her cause. And she looks very good ghosting about in her velvet cape. *drools*
There had better be more oh ye in charge of Morgana's character development.
2. DAMMIT IT MERLIN WHAT DID WE SAY ABOUT THE EYELIDS? Hhe looked soooo happy when Morgana said she forgave him. I have no consistency I am a particularly whorish leaf that flies wherever Colin Morgan's dimples take it I don't know...
3. And and he's still accusing Arthur of blindness which is of course completely true but wth Mer? Pick whether you want him to find out or not won't you? He reminds me of angry neglected wives that suddenly get attention from an attractive co-worker and they start to dress better and do their hair and put make up on and can't decide whether they're doing it for the co-worker or to make the husband jealous. And of course neither Merlin nor neglected wife bother to say anything more than pointed hints.
4. Also, Uther. I was sad for him. And OMG WHAT A MONSTER too.
5. Arthur's daddy issues got the best of him. Understandable but I want the fic where he contemplates and realises that one day, his daddy will be gone. And gratuitous naked chest yay. From the first episode. We are such predictable fangirls.
6. Gooooood Kilgharrah is back! And again, Colin Morgan, I'm hearting the acting skillz. He seems too fragile for such force of emotion.
7. Have I mentioned how impressed I am with Morgause? Compared to her, Morgana looks like a nervous excited filly. She exudes awe. And Cenred is her very hot boy-toy-king.
...You know how Morgana was hugging Uther so tightly and giving him wet-eyed smiles? When he turned his back and the camera made a show of Morgana's mocking smirk I kept hoping the smirk would break and she'd show rage and grief:( Maybe she just thinks he deserves the torture? And maybe when Team Hot Evil reveal they plan to kill him she'll stop short?) UTHER/MORGANA YOU GUIZE.
Or maybe she's raise an army of skeletons to kill the lot.
Of course the True Blood finale. It was AWESOME! Witch!Jesus and revealed!manipulative!Beel and and mature!Jason (this was the most astonishing of all) and evil!chuckle!Sookie and YES JUST YES! Also, alas Russell wasn't locked in a silver cage in Fangtasia's basement to be Eric's Hannibal Lecter but he's alive to be more evil later on. OHNOYOUDIDN'T SAM MERLOTTE!!
Btw, this season's tv will have Game of Thrones and Camelot and The Borgias and... I'm wetting my pants.
