That episode was SO.GOOD. I read some non-spoilery reviews that weren't that enthusiastic so I wasn't expecting much (and I am still baffled at the ones that say it wasn't funny or emotional) because it might be my favorite episode so far. The episode was certainly not perfect, but it was probably the funniest of the season, with some FANTASTIC character stuff to chomp on. And I loved the little moments with Rory especially--like the eggbeater generator, haha.

SO.VERY.VERY.GOOD! I mean I don't know if it's because I wasn't terribly emotionally attached to the previous Doctors and companions but it was absolutely amazing! Rory and the significant haircut, the Doctor's reaction to Amy's (sorry LOL break) fake labour, the ponchos ffs, I can't believe it can get better than this.

Fallen. Don't read it. Please

I read the first chapter, put it down, and now I can't actually find it. Er, I think I'll stop looking for it now. *g*

Which is a shame, because I am, like Frankenstein's monster, feeling a kinship with Milton's Lucifer at the moment. Boooo to crappy fallen angels stories! And I just googled 'sympathetic Lucifer' and the first thing that appears? The 'Satan is Good' trope page!

Fallen is bad, it has as much to do with fallen angels as Twilight with vampires. Make your conclusions out of that.

There are a lot books out there with angels lately aren't there? Although Hush hasn't convinced me to try it. I do have Hand of Mercy in my To-Read list.

The 'Satan is Good' trope page!
Ahahaha I just went through it, it's got some good examples. I'm a fan on that trope myself or at least the 'Satan is ambiguously neither good or evil and looks like David Bowie' one.
