Baldr had experienced both the luck and misfortune of waking up at a car dealership, one that dealt in luxury vehicles. It had been a good thing in the fact that some of the cars weren't damaged and could still be used, but bad in that he had ended up having to hunt down the keys before he could do anything ( ... )

"What?" Odin's voice was a low rumble, the closest thing he could manage to a whisper. "What do you mean, you're lost? It's not like this place is huge." He wasn't trying to admonish him. He was genuinely worried by this information. He was worried about Baldr, but the minute he let on to that fact, he showed a major weakness.

"Where are you right now? Are you near any landmarks?" He wasn't overly familiar with Coney Island. He hated amusement parks, so he'd never had reason to go. He'd managed to find an old map tucked away behind a cash register, but he was sure some things had changed since it'd been printed.

"I know, but the streets are all messed up." Baldr was frustrated and it came through in his voice. "It's not like I have experience being on Coney Island to draw from, and the map I found is older." He looked around, trying to figure out what he could say to give Odin an idea of where he was.

"I'm at a crossroads, there's what's left of a pier on one side, a hot dog place, a gas station, and lots of fire." He tried to spot a street sign. "Looks like only one way is actually open for traveling, and there's quite a few bars from the looks of it. I'll head that way."

"Shit." Odin smoothed the ragged map out in front of him. His location had been pre-marked, as had a few regular attractions.

"The boardwalk runs parallel to here." That wasn't too helpful, but he knew any information to orientate him would be better than nothing. Then, he spotted a faded mark on the map not far from his own location. "There's a hot dog place not far from here, maybe a couple blocks west. You're close, at least.

"Just be careful, son. There's a lot of things crawling around out here."
