Characters: Athena and Mordred Date/Time: Tuesday evening Location: The gym Rating: PG-13 for violence Warnings: Cursing maybe? And people hitting each other. Summary: Sparring/boxing
Lately, Mordred had been spending all of his free time working out. From the moment he felt Agravaine was well enough to get by without his constant presence he'd been concentrating on getting himself prepared for the inevitable showdown. While he knew his brother couldn't remember who had jumped him, he had his suspicions and felt preparation would be key if those suspicions proved right.
He had taken up boxing again, a passion he'd held while in the military, and was quickly working his way through any opponents the gym had to offer. Most of them were easy to beat, offering no real challenge to the vicious knight. When the woman approached he nearly laughed before feeling the aura emanating from her.
"So long as you won't cry foul if I win, I'm game."
Thankfully it was getting easier to spot those that were like her in public. If he had laughed at her, well she probably would have hit him to prove her point. Or just told him to suck it up and deal with. But she was used to people underestimating her because she was a woman, and because of her size. They were her favorite kinds of people to take down, because they were very obnoxious.
"I'd never do such a thing. I'm all for fighting fairly. If you win, then you win." She smiled and then went to get into the ring and get her gloves on and everything else that was needed for boxing. She was sadly a good girl who always played by the rules, unless she had to invent her own.
Admittedly, he was looking for as difficult as fight as he could get, and something about her attitude made him believe that she could give him that. While he had no idea exactly who she was, he could tell she was Greek and more powerful than he was, both of which boded well for his intentions. With that information filed away, he knew better than to underestimate her. He'd fought women before, albeit rarely, and once assured she understood he wouldn't hold back simply because she had tits and there was a size difference between them he was more than game.
"Excellent, then I'm ready when you are." He leaned down on the bottom rope to allow her easier access, waiting for her to get in. "We go standard rules, three five minute rounds. That good for you?"
If difficult was what he wanted, that was definitely what he would get. Athena rarely held back when it came to sparring. Unless she was helping someone practice, and that person wasn't as strong as her. There wouldn't be any holding punches this time though. She was already sizing him up and learning the patterns of how he walked and carried himself so that she'd have that information on hand. She tried not to underestimate anyone, even if she was more sure about herself than she should be. It was just sparring after all.
Tying her hair up securely in a bun, Athena climbed up into the ring, nodding her thanks at being allowed in. "That sounds good to me." She stretched a little and then went over to her corner. A moment later the bell sounded.
