The fact that you don't believe in God and neither does he hardly makes you both the same person. Consider your differing (disclaimer: all of the following is probably differing) intelligence levels, background/life experiences, career goals, interests, preferences, friend groups, levels of sociability, blood alcohol levels, etc.
Being the terribly indecisive person I am, I happen to be agnostic. I believe that I could not possibly know who or what created the universe, whether it was created at all, and all of that.
Consider, also, that Douglas Adams was an atheist (a very outspoken one at that). You are in good company as well as bad.
And there is also what you already said: you don't believe in nothing, just not God.

If you want something cooler to say, try Satanism. Seriously, go read the Satanic Bible...it's not what you think and quite funny/interesting.
