I was thinking of Ask MetaFiltering this, but I figured you folks could help me out with less snark. Here's the story.

On NEOGAF and other gaming boards I've heard lots of chatter about pirate GBA games, one game specifically mentioned is Tactics Ogre... and they said that the pirate cart has a nasty tendency of deleting saved games. So yup, you've got a pirate... that sucks :(

There isn't anything specifically in Zunafish's policies about this kind of thing. I'm still waiting for a response from customer support.

My impression, though, is that they'll tell me to deal with the trader directly, which is where the problem comes in. Because I already left positive feedback, the only power I have is that of being a whiny dick. I'm not too eager to wield that particular power.

Would I be able to open the cartridge and replace the battery and play the game normally?

Save memory on cartridges is flash memory; has been for many many years. So there's no battery to replace. Sounds like it's got shoddy or too small flash memory.

I'd work on getting it back.
