002 Why is a raven like a writing desk?

May 15, 2008 17:11

The days seem to be inching by slowly. Painfully slow, in fact. I wonder if time here is also being controlled by them? It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Here in this realm we should expect the unexpected. I never imagined I would end up in a place like this. I think it's safe to say that most of us, perhaps ninety nine percent of the ( Read more... )

Can't Ryuuzaki ever talk normally?

Normality is in the eye of the beholder.

I'd suggest that you call me L from now on. I'd really rather not have the Malnosso know my other name. This is for security purposes. Don't take this as me scolding you, it's just a precaution that needs to be taken. I hope you understand.

Eh?

Okay. Misa doesn't mind but why didn't you tell Misa that before?

I thought you would put two and two together.

Jeez, for a human you talk a lot. And you don't sleep a lot too, I bet your blood'll taste like slime.

But at least you didn't mess with my coffin yet, dear. I need to give you props for that.

[[ ooc: According to the housing post, Elda and L here are assigned roomies -- the same house and all. She's a vampire, and you might've missed her previous post in which she was installing the coffin she sleeps in... and adding black curtains to block out sunlight ]]

I also eat a lot of sweets. My blood is probably much too sugary for your taste. It may cause your death due to the overwhelming sucrose content.

Don't worry, I won't mess with your coffin.

And don't you worry dear, you're not my type anyway. Still, if we're going to be haunting the same place, I should know what you want me to call you.

As to me, I'm Elda.

I'm glad we have a mutual understanding then.

I'm L.

Everyone speaks so badly of these Malnosso.

Well they are not good creatures or people by any means. Kidnapping others does not classify as something a decent person would do.

They've also raised the dead; it's made several people happy from what I've seen. What kind of selfish people would give others the gift of life?

And from what I've seen those people that have been brought back are missing something in the process. What kind of unselfish people would rob someone of something so precious as their memory? Hmm?

Tell me, if I were to brutally slaughter you and then bring you back from the dead but steal your memory away from you completely leaving you without a clue as to who you are or where you're from, how would you feel? All the memories that you held so dear to you..The times that made you laugh..The times that made you cry..All of them

gone

How would you feel? Not that great I assume.

What right does another have to do such a thing to a human being?

none

End of story.

So it's dangerous here, then?

Quite.

Then I guess that much hasn't really changed from my own home. I guess things are shit all over.

I take it you've only dealt with human murderers?

You could say the same goes for my world as well.

Human murderers and maniacs that use devices called death notes to kill others.

Um, can I get the simplified version of that?

Things are not as they appear to be. Do not take anything as it is. Always look beyond the face value.

Thanks for obliging. That's pretty good advice in general, but in this sort of situation.. I wonder what those Malnosso are trying to accomplish?

You're welcome. I suppose this may be one giant test. It is rather clever though if you think about it. Take a number of humans and other creatures from different worlds and different time frames then kidnap them and bring them to a place so you can conduct scientific experiments on them. The perfect crime. Almost too perfect.
