Out with the Bad... In with the Good Looking Guy at the door...

It was odd how the Halliwell manor could be completely upside down on moment, with chaos and yelling and just a general air of confusion, and then completely calm the next. Phoebe had dropped the little bomb on them about Cole, and surprisingly they all handled it with relative ease. There was a lot of confusion and a few moments where Paige was ( Read more... )

King had dropped off Zoe with her grandparents and was kind of at a loss by that point. The parting hadn't been traumatic...Zoe was happy to see her grandparents, they were nice enough to him ( ... )

There was a definite lag going on between the words coming out of the mouth to the hot guy on the porch to the Halliwell manor and it actually making sense to her. It took her a moment, but eventually the words filtered to her brain and they started to make sense, of course his sense of humor didn't help the actual understanding of things ( ... )

The long, awkward pause was one thing King didn't mind...especially the open staring, because she was pretty cute, too. Surprisingly so. King honestly hadn't been worried about that...if anyone knew how deceptive packages were, he did ( ... )

There were some definite thoughts running wild crazy in her mind. Most of them where involving whatever piece of furniture was currently within being thrown atop of distance. She tried to shove them away... far far away in her mind, but it wasn't exactly working.

"I just have to grab a few things," she replied as she moved through the house with Hannibal in tow. She grabbed her keys and her purse, "So the deal was lunch right? I mean that's why you're here?" Paige paused, "You're not here to kill me right? That would be really unfortunate."

There was an obvious once over she gave him again, because well he was really worthy of another glance... from head... to... Toe! There was no midsection pausing what so ever. Nope.

"So, lunch?"

Paige pressed her fingertips to her forehead for a moment as her elbow rested against the bottom of her steering wheel. Exhaling she turned to the side smiling over at Hannibal, "So... we're changing plans already? You do realize that this might expose you to my family when you've barely gotten to know me?"

Paige waited for a moment thinking it over but then decided why the hell not. Standard phrases like you only live once, and seize the day came to mind when she started her car up again, "You know what? You want a night on the town at P3 and all the Halliwell's staring at you? I'm completely going to indulge you and all of your conversion fantasies."

Paige grinned for a moment before putting her car into reverse and pulling out of the side parking lot back onto the main road to head downtown to P3 where no doubt she would be taking her turn in front of the firing squad when it came to just how she knew Hannibal and for how long.

"Hey, I kill vampires for a living, remember? While, true, it may not endear me to most familial authority figures, I can promise you...there's little I fear." he quipped with a small smile. "Bring it on."

As she pulled out again, he settled back in his seat and regarded her. "So...as one ex-bloodsucker to another, how'd you manage to beat the whole rap without the drugs? 'Cause you seemed to indicate that you didn't take anything to ditch the hemodeficiency thing."

"Take? Noooo... oh noooo. It was this whole big mess," she began as she turned right off Crawford. "My sister Phoebe? She was seeing this guy.. Cole. Who she is seeing once again, but that's a totally different story. So Cole was up to no good, the whole ruling the demonic underworld, lying to all of us... it was pretty much bad. Anyway I was trying to be the nice sister, trying to accept the lying demonic ass that he is," she paused to glance to him for a moment, "Which in my defense I didn't know he was all demonic at the time, but I digress," she stopped at a red light for a moment tapping her fingers against the steering wheel while she just kept on going ( ... )

Once she'd finished talking, King was quiet for a moment as he gave the story some thought. It made *some* sense, and he was definitely interested in the whole Charmed One bit...but what bothered him was the vampires.

It sounded like NO vampire transformation HE'D ever seen, heard of, or undergone. But vampirism was a disease...and diseases *could* mutate. Races evolve...this could have been a weaker strain...early form, or later...

"*Did* look hot? I'll have to dispute the jury on that one, Your Honor." he quipped. "And I totally get the whole being plucked off at random for the super secret Bloodsucker's Club, but let me ask you about this vampire thing: you guys *did* get all of 'em...right?"
