I’m a Other, he’s a Other, she’s a Other, we’re a Other
Wouldn’t you like to be a Other, too?

for your innocence, you can be! )

Is that what makes one an Other, the mind's ability to grasp concepts beyond the limits of accepted human knowledge?

Just like us, Lost followers who try to understand the beyond understandable concepts with whom they try to feed us.... OHMYGOD... we're Others xD

I think the answer to most questions about the whys and wherefores of last night's ep is, "Because Darlton thought it'd be cool." They let their inner children run away with them, heh. Outhouses and Godlike Smoke and Ghosties and Goblins...well, maybe not goblins. I was surprised that Ben wasn't given anything to atone for but his sins against Alex. Good grief, that man has sinned against EVERYONE! Smokey didn't look like his typical big badass self, though, so maybe Ben makes him tired.

Wow, you gave me a lot to think about! I'm not tired, though, so thank you! :)

God, I loved Ben in this episode. I'm glad that he didn't die (did anyone really think he would?) and very surprised that he didn't kill Penny, but the latter makes sense after having watched the beginning part of the episode. I'm just wondering why he told Sun to tell Desmond that he was sorry; did something happen after he was thrown into the ocean?

For some reason I really think most of the people on the plane were put on there by Widmore and they're all on a mission for him. Interesting connection to The Mummy though! Never would've seen that myself lol

And I definitely believe that Locke is not alive and that he's kind of just like Christian, which makes sense cause both of their dead bodies were brought to the island before they started roaming around as if they WERE alive again.

I think the only reason Ben wasn't pile-driven into the ground like Eko was that Ben still has some purpose to fulfill. Mark my words, he's not gonna be able to be a yes man to Locke for very long. The island already knows of his murderous intent, and ain't happy about it, and can't be happy either that he's already killed the guy once. Ben's gonna get a heaping helping of Smokey whoopass at some point, and I can't wait to see it.

Regarding what makes an Other an Other, something occurred to me last night in bed: We saw young Ethan with Ben when Ben kidnapped baby Alex. We now know Ethan was Dharma-born, so at what point did HE also become an Other?
