TV Shows
Veronica Mars (so maybe like noir, whodunit, general mystery, etc...)
Supernatural (ghosts, demons, angels, etc...maybe two brothers/best friends? don't have to be male)

Oh I loved the movie The Hours so I'll have to check out the book. Cold Mountain...that sounds really familiar. Haven't heard of Little Children though. And no worries, love. We all have our interests. ♥

P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast. It's a mother-daughter work. They are really well written :)

Howdy - just stopping on from the WW community...

I saw your list of 6 movies in an earlier post and thought you might like the book 'Foxfire' that the movie was based on. It is by Joyce Carol Oates and is one of my all-time favorites. It has everything that is right about the movie, minus the camp. A very empowering novel...

Also, since you love Veronica Mars, as do I, you might enjoy 'The Spellman Files' by Lisa Lutz. It is about a dysfunctional family of private eyes and has been described, rather aptly, as a cross between 'harriet the spy' and 'the royal tenenbaums'. Very funny mystery about a very eccentric family.

I've been looking for Foxfire but can't seem to find it in the used book store I go to. Ah well, I guess I can get it used on amazon (yes I'm too cheap to buy them new).

I've heard of The Spellman Files but wasn't quite sure about it. Now I'll definitely look it up. Thanks!
