Having heard so much about New Orlean's muffulettas, I decided to try one from Central Grocery. The round bread and olive tapenade made it a little different, but I found it wasn't anything special in comparison to the "Italian" subs you can get at nearly every deli in the Northeast.

Central does have a nice selection of imported Italian delicacies though.

most of the bread used on "Italian subs" in the northeast is pretty horrid by comparison.

Yummy Muffaletta.. I am evil as I love my cheese melted.. I used to go a couple doors down to Frank's and get it. Toasted is the only way.. =)
