Oh! Last night I was lying in bed for the longest time having crazy racing thoughts, and one of those thoughts was, "I wonder what Arakawa-sensei has been up to lately? I'm sure she's been writing something good." Voila! Thanks!

I had a similar thought about Takahashi Rumiko and it turns out that she's on volume 16 or 17 of this cute manga called Kyoukai no Rinne. At first I thought it was kind of a let down, but then I decided it was hilarious and awesome. It's kind of like Bleach in that it has shinigami, but all the battles are economic in nature, so it's a rather bizarre twist on the genre.
It's shonen, though, so I'm not sure if it's your style.

YEAH, I think in the US this is called Rin-ne?? I've read the first two volumes, in fact I think I still own one?! I should check it out again! I've been on a huge manga binge lately.

As for Silver Spoon, YEAH. I think there's an autobiographical one about Arakawa floating around somewhere, too?
But Silver Spoon has at least 60 manga chapters out right now, I think.

Yeah, it's called Rin-ne in the US and I got a ton of volumes from the library, and then read the rest (of the available ones) online. And then I went back to studying for the bar. It was a total binge, I couldn't do anything else. I'm mildly ashamed.

I'm so going to catch up on so much Arakawa just as soon as this exam is over.
