Working on finishing Radical Reinvention by Kaya Oakes, which is basically about someone coming to terms with their own Catholicism in spite of the Catholic Church's fail. I suspect I will have a post's worth of thoughts on this book when I'm done (at least, I ( Read more... )

You need to finish Heinberg's run on Young Avengers first; then read Young Avengers Presents.

The Runaways/YA miniseries next (first Civil War then Secret Invasion). Also they are a bit superfluous, especially if you haven't read Runaways (note: you should Runaways. It's a bit more newby friendly than YA. And gooooooood.)

Then there's the Dark Reign: Young Avengers miniseries.

Then the one shot set during Siege.

Then Chidren's Crusade.

However!! All those minis are have a lot to do with whatever was happening in the broad Marvel universe at the time, so they are going to be a bit confusing, I'm afraid. They are written by a variety of writers too; but some of them are good anyway. But it's not too bad if you skip them to go straight to Children's Crusade.

I could set up thing for you to download tho.

I started reading Runaways when it first started coming out, and yes - one of my all-time favorites, SO AWESOME.

UMM! A download thing might be nice?! My library has Young Avengers Presents & the Runaways/YA crossover (both), & Dark Reign. BUT not the others.
Is "Young Avengers Ultimate Collection" what I'm supposed to be reading next to finish out Heinberg's run?

*checks* Actually that's all. Only 12 issues of Heinberg's first run, so Family Matters wraps it up. (Young Avengers Ultimate Collection basically has the same material as "Sidekick" and "Family Matters" in one book) Young Avengers Presents is what's next. I can upload Children's Crusade if you want since I think that's all you're missing (of course CC is the one with the aggravating event, and the disapointing ending overall although I still love it because I'm pretty die hard about the Magnus Family and it has the biggest reunion since always).

ETA: Oh, actually, I forgot about it since they're not my favourite, but Cassie and Vision are both part of Slott's run in Mighty Avengers if you wanna read that. It's a decent run though they're not very high lightened in it. (It is also known as that run in which Loki was going around cosplaying as the Scarlet Witch).
