I've been frustrated with the plants lately.

I bought two different kinds of lettuce from a greenhouse on Sunday. They are already quite droopy, even though I've been keeping one of them inside and water them both every day.

I'd like to be able to plant them in my drawer, but I don't have enough plants to fill the drawer at the moment. The shoots ( Read more... )

How deep is your lettuce planted? If it's draining too quickly, it still may not be getting enough water. Since it's happening inside and out, it doesn't sound like a sun issue.

I'd try replanting the weak sprouts in your drawer anyway. They may just need more dirt to swim around in. pots/starters are not a very good approximation for fields of dirt for some plants. Also are you using fertilizer? You might squirt some in your water the next time you water

Whenever my plants (inevitably) start to die, I give them to the Hammer. You could do it too.
