I really enjoyed this. It's a simple fic at a glance, and a window into Phoenix's life between the third and fourth games in the series... and yet there's so much to be taken from this "simple" piece that it's really... kind of inspiring. I have a hard time liking Trucy (I'm awful, I know) but the more fic I read, the more I see the actual impact she has on Phoenix's life, rather than just assuming its gravity.
... or sth. *gnaws hands* I really like your work.

I have more fic dealing with this time of his life, and I've sorted it all over on an RP journal of mine, here- bloodredace. There's a lot more there dealing with his relationship with Trucy. I differ from some, as I never really saw their relationship as very father/daughter, but more one that spawned from a mutual need to have another person in their lives. (Oh, as a warning, my headcanon has Phoenix getting involved with Miles briefly after GS3) ...still, even like that, I don't think that Trucy can be underestimated as one of the more important forces in Phoenix's life.
