*g* Funny enough I had the opposite reaction- that Jared picture blew me away and I think I'll order that one as a poster, hehe ^^ Jensen looks hot though, too!
And OMG finale tonight tomorrow! I still know nothing, wohooo :D
And hu, the word lover... well it doesn't bother me but like you said if it's overused it just gets kinda annoying

Oooh the word lover, such rage it can procure. *g*

I think my main problem with lover (except for when it's used as a nickname because that is just plain wrong) is that so many people use it as a stand in for an epithet. I might be willing to admit it's a little better than the brown haired Texan, but still... just no. *shudders*

LOL

See, that's the thing.. she did use it as a nickname.. All the time.. and as an epithet..
And even if I wasn't bothered at all by the word to begin with.. I would definitely hate it now.. it was just that overused.
Which is a shame.. because other than that.. the fic was really good. And I ended up skimming over the last haof of it.. just cause I still wanted to know how she ended it.
Oh.. and keep in mind.. I wasn't just bugged by this for four or five chapters. It was a 70 plus chapter fic!!

:-)

I think the word lover can be used well but most people over use it or have a character that wouldn't use it do so and it is annoying. Personally if I had say, a British character and that was part of his type of personality I would use it and it might come off well but it sounds very out of place in a Jared/Jensen fic. It is not a trait that you would have both your characters use either. Or more then one in a story or book for that matter. It gets very old very quickly. I like the term when it is used well. Used well being the key.

I am looking forward to seeing a lot of the finales this season. Most of them look just, WOW. It sucks about moonlight getting canceled. :(

I am just excited about the Supernatural finale tonight.
It takes place on Dean's last day before his deal comes due. So I am sure there will be much drama and angst!

My Mom was so funny today. I hardly ever talk about Supernatural with her.. she would get tired quickly of my going on and on about it. But she does watch it. And today she said to me.. "Tonight's the big night!"
And I just had to laugh because I am usually the one bringing up SPN and this time she did. She is almost as excited as I am. LOL

Sorry about the stolen money, hun. That's horrible. I can't imagine why anyone would steal like that from someone they consider a friend?

As for the word "lover" I don't use it when I write fan fic. It never seems to fit. I agree with you - it's not a fav. Better words can be substituted. It just seems awkward and forced.

It just seems awkward and forced.

I think that is my main reason for disliking it so much. It always seems awkward or just plain sounds weird. I mean.. who really talks like that?
:-)

And yeah.. it has been really rough ever since the money got stolen. For all the reasons not having a penny to my name for food for the month will cause.. but just knowing that this person who I believed to be my friend.. did this to me. KNOWING that it was all the money I had for food. And she did it anyways. It just broke my heart.
