acerbicmuffin and pluto_pup were planning one of their cricket outings to Adelaide on my birthday weekend, so I decided I'd join them!

Knocked off from work at midday Thursday, and then piled into pluto_pup 's car that evening for the first stage of the trip - Melbourne to Nhill, where Pluto grew up. SHe had prepared for the trip by putting a screen over her grates to protect ( Read more... )

according to the BBC TV series on the London Natural History Museum, there's actually a move towards going back to things in cabinets. People actually want to see *things* apparently.

Happy birthday for Saturday!

ETA: Oh, and I laughed about Adelaide being shut by 9pm on a Friday night. Apparently, nothing has changed since I lived there in the early 90s. It wasn't that there was nothing to do after 9pm, it was just that it was all at people's houses.
