I'm reading up on neomodernism. It agrees with me. And I like that house

The Farnsworth House is fantastic. It's in the middle of nowhere/rural America too.

This is from one of my Design Theory assignments, back when I was doing Architecture.

What other sorts of minimalism did you look at?

hmm.....now your pushing the memory....ian3 any help?

other artwork, like sculpture (urinal), and painting (blocks of colour)...thats the main stuff. but yeah, the architecture was kewl. and we also looked at that museum in paris that doesn't have walls or something....and no-one knows really how to get in. uber cool too!

edit: sorry, its the pompidou centre:

Yes, the Pompidou Center is interesting indeedy. All the technical necessities of the building become the aesthetic focalpoint. I'd love to go there.

Not sure if I'd call it minimalist though, perhaps deconstructionist, or technological. Although I supposed it all comes under the heading of post-modernism.

I love both the house, and, interestingly, the block of wood thing at the top. It just appeals nicely, don't know why.

They're bricks, but I agree. I think it's something about the colour of the brick and the colour of the black background. I don't think it would work anywhere else but against that. Certainly wouldn't work in my living room!

Although maybe if I had the Farnsworth House it would?
