Challenge 005 - The Pink Panther (1963)
The last couple of challenges have been a little dark, so evester and I have decided to lighten the mood a bit with a different kind of mystery - slapstick!
Challenge 005 will be Blake Edward's 1963 film, The Pink Panther. This was the first of seven original Pink Panther films (and one awful remake) focusing on a variety of crimes, most involving the famous diamond, The Pink Panther. The film starred the incredible Peter Sellers as the bumbling Inspector Clouseau; Capucine, the Givenchy model-turned-actress as his wife Simone; David Niven as Sir Charles Lytton and Claudia Cardinale as the Princess Dala, owner of the Pink Panther. It's a funny movie with a good little mystery, and being made in the 60s, its very colorful as well.
All entries for this challenge must be submitted by 11PM EST on Friday, 14th March 2008.
(On a side note, I will be in LA for a fashion show this weekend, so I may be a bit slow posting voting etc. If I can't do it at all for some reason or other, evester has been kind enought to offer to take care of it)
