more from the subconscious

Dreamt about the show again last night. This was a proper "about the show" as well as a "watching the show" dream - there wasn't much of a barrier between the two perspectives. What I remember are the fact that I was hating life because I'd forgotten about videotaping the broadcast of the opening episode, and there didn't seem to ever be another ( Read more... )

hiatus is killing me, dream analysis, hayden panettiere, season two dvds

I just hate how I'm seeing poor Hayden's face everywhere on every paper because of what her parents are going through.

If it's not that, it's the fact that she's being skewered for using hand sanitizer in between signing stuff at San Diego ComicCon. Since when does a person using hand sanitizer get interpreted as "Your dreamgirl hates you filthy disgusting nerds"?

I swear, all this negative shit just makes me love her and defend her even more. Which shouldn't be the case - if I love her, it should be because of the things she's done and stands for, not because I want to defend her against things that aren't fair. I have no idea; she could be a complete bitchwhore for all I know, but dammit, I like her.

I've followed hayden's work since she was a child from the soaps, and from what I've seen she's very professional and talented, which is all I ask for in an actor/actress. I don't care what anyone does unless it affects their work or its racist/sexist/homophobic,etc.
But really, from what I've seen and heard, she seems like a normal, well-adjusted young women with a lot to offer and I can't wait to see what Heroes has in store for her. Doesn't help that she comes off as completely adorable and thoughtful too:)

She seems better than well-adjusted, even - how anyone can hang out with Paris and Lindsay and Britney from the age of 13 and not end up glamorizing their lifestyles is absolutely amazing. Hayden has her shit together, and I'm sure that's the reason why Milo likes her. She's about as mature as he is! They're both extremely sensible, passionate, professional people who hold their work above everything else, but who still know how to have fun occasionally. VERY occasionally. Damn those workaholics making the rest of us look bad. :)

Sounds like an interesting dream. I'm buying recording tapes to record S3 as well. VHS ftw! XD

VHS for the desperation, more like...because I've learned that yes, I do need to review the episodes in detail every time. EVERY time. This show gets better the more you watch it.

I do the exact same thing. XDD It DOES get better the more you watch it, and that doesn't happen much with shows. =P

Heroes is really quite unique in that the episodes DEMAND to be rewatched. There's just no way of getting all the details on a single viewing. I suppose that we viewers aren't really supposed to actually take it that seriously - at least that's the impression I got from Season 2 - and yet my careful attention is always rewarded. Season 2 didn't actually improve for me until I'd watched it again; and a third viewing improves it even more. I look forward to my fourth go-round.

Of course I've watched most of Season 1 upwards of 10 or 11 times now... yikes... obsessive much? :D

Which is it indeed? What's going on with Hayden's parents? Do tell... (goes to read comments)

Hayden's dad got arrested for drunkenly assaulting his wife - and unless I'm mistaken on the time stamp, it was the same night as Hayden's whale-charity dinner at the Beso restaurant (unless they're just at Beso every single damn night, which also wouldn't surprise me - if you're famous and a friend of the owner, which Hayden is, undoubtedly she and Milo eat and drink for free). Google News for "Panettiere" and you'll find out a lot. However, I'm not sure what the story actually is; there's always so much media spin on things like this, and if they can make someone look bad, they'll do it, even when they get evidence that said celebrity (or associate) didn't actually do what they were accused of doing. (See: Christian Bale, who I'm sure most of America still assumes actually struck and shoved his mother, when all he did was shout at her - it's in the police records, for heaven's sake - but since it's not as scandalous as the concept of hitting her, the press won't bother to report it ( ... )

Ahhh, okay. I won't bother with investigating it. The whole Christian Bale thing I didn't give a second glance to either.

It's bad for her, really. But I guess one thing can be said (and I'm sure she could give two fucks about this, but I'm gonna say it anyway), this is one way to know you've made it big, you've 'impacted' the world of entertainment/pop culture somehow. Again, I know she could give a shit, but it is what it is. Maybe this will 'blow over', as it were and she can move on and Christian Bale can move on and so forth. :) Thanks for 'xplainin' ;)

I bet she knew she'd made it when the whole world was suddenly like "MILO VENTIMIGLIA THE PEDOPHILE"... I'm not one to use the term lightly, but I really genuinely see the animosity toward Milo and Hayden's relationship as horrendous jealousy. It's so much easier just to admit it. I'm jealous as fuck of both of them, but it's not the kind of thing where I try to tear down the object of my jealousy. I just try to become more fabulous myself. :)

I'm sure there was actual whacking, but there you go. Nobody knows what really, really went down but the participants. He did spend an early morning in jail for it, though.

I don't really mind the dentist - it's just a cleaning, and I doubt they're going to find anything that's a cause of concern. It doesn't cost me anything (or, technically, I already paid for it... ah insurance) and the hygenists are really nice. And they give me free toothbrushes and floss, which is great - I like to be able to floss whenever I feel like it. I have naturally really good teeth. I'm just annoyed that there's now a slim chance that it'll be sold out before I can get to it. (I doubt it; S2 is not going to sell very well, I'm certain. It's kind of a rip-off.)
