I can't believe I missed this ending when you posted it - but yay, I've caught up now. An excellent story, and you had some fascinating theories that turned out to be not terribly far from where the series has gone thusfar either! : adds to memories

I love it when a theory gets borne out on the show - I am about three for five, so far - but I also love it when I am wrong, and they do something even more awesome than I had thought of. I hope hope hope that they bring Peter and Sylar together, and not in a mutually assured destruction kind of way, either.

Oh well, it's TV, and I doubt that'll ever happen. There can only be one Xena and one BSG per generation; they're not ready to combine the two, and have it on network TV at that. :)

Dear God!!! I read this entire fic over 2 days, safe to say it was too good to stop reading!

I honestly am amazed at how this fic is one of the few things that, in my opinion, accurately embody the definition of awesome.

As much as i'd love for there to be more of this its a great ending.

I hope that i don't lose too much of my life reading other fics of yours (who needs a life when you've got this?!?!)

Did i mention how great you are? Cause you really are!

I'm really glad you liked it. I am incredibly proud of it and at the same time viciously critical of the things that don't work. if I do rewrite it I'll end up posting it completely elsewhere.

I read this last night and early this morning, just one chapter after the other. To be honest, I thought some of the pairings didn't quite work, but goddamn, you write Peter well! And what a fantastic treatment of Sylar ... having Gabriel buried in there all the time was a beautiful idea.

And Hiro, poor doomed Hiro (because he is doomed, and he knows it) ... gah. No words there.

I really, really love this story ... definitely going on my rec list right now!

I agree completely... it was an experiment, and I had my own list (and order) to begin with, and then my challenge to myself was to try to slash them to see if it could be done. I'm not a miracle worker (or a genius) so no, some of them are better than others.

I really want to be writing this again; I might do a "re-set" after the end of the season, and start again from the beginning with the same premise, but with all the knowledge of what else is going on in mind... and definitely a new list. :) But same premise - Peter has a shag list for abilities, and he and Sylar are inextricably linked, and Hiro is the lynchpin that either brings them together, breaks them apart, or both (as here). And Claire is still essential for the plan to come together.

Peter was AMAZING. The thing is, I don't think he could have done what he did at the end unless he'd BEEN with Sylar. What he did there required a certain element of heartlessness that he must have learned from Sylar, which I found extremely interesting.
Yes... exactly... thank you. Exactly. I could do this so much better if I was writing it now, but you got the general impression.

The ending of this fic is deliberately left up to your own interpretation (mine is not nearly so joyous, but I'm a bit emo after all).
