I can't believe that I go missing for 2 weeks and miss not one but two Rituals! Oh Lordy I've had an interesting time catching up. I would say fun but neither of the parts are particularly happy really are they? :)

Anyway... I loved this part. All the angst!!! Love demanding, not got a clue, have to have it now Peter and aghhhhhhhhhh what the fuck am I doing?! Nathan. So much pain and confusion. I'm glad things get a little sorted out after that though cos otherwise... No Ritual! Agh! Anyway... Beautifully written as ever. I would give more detail of which bit's were great but as ever life is taking over. Grrr. Oh the wonders of hosting our 2nd party this week! Ekk.

I've been pretty steady with at least one story a week since the beginning... I'm just amazed that I've been able to keep cranking them out! (well, I have to, sort of... it's a habit I just can't shake...)

*Guh* When you posted 'Ritual (27): Dixon' I went back and read from the beginning...what an fantastic series!

I'm glad you like it - it's nice to be appreciated. I brainstormed a rough timeline relatively early and I've done my best to stick to it... I'm glad it all hangs together well.

And if you're taking requests, I'd like to see that scene in "Four Months Ago" where we see a tiny glimpse of the end, where burned!Nathan is telling Heidi everything.

I personally think that the reason Heidi got separated from him isn't because she thinks he's crazy, but because he told her about him and Peter in an attempt to be honest and to make up for all the lies, and she thinks he's a perverted sicko that she doesn't want near her children anymore.

*shrug*

But that's just me.

Look for it shortly after the new year starts - I intend to make good use of my 4-day weekend (even though I totally wasted today, I didn't quite, because I decided on the next one.)

Places this in canon a bit, I thought, like someone else did, about Claire and the rock scene. But with reading this, it really makes sense. Nathan was crying in that scene. Maybe it reminded him of that weekend, thinking about when peter threw the rock. Then there is the fact that he was having the dreams about Meredith as well. All these memories are the present situation wouls put Nathan in such a state that I could see him falling apart in the limo.

Like you said. this had to happen. it just amazing.

Thank you, thank you... yeah, the other part of Ritual's purpose - besides providing the hot slash - is to enrich and explain tiny little moments on the show where a certain emotional response by the characters needs elaboration. And yeah, every time you see rough, tough ol' Nathan reduced to tears, I can easily twist that to my own agenda.
